With her FIX Malibu, both your skin and soul are destined to glow.
They say you should love the skin you’re in. Easier said than done, right? But if one Malibu-area dermatologist has her way, we won’t just adore our epidermis, we’ll fall madly, head over heels in lust with it.
Meet Dr. Rebecca Giles, the founder of FIX Malibu, an ultra-luxe, high-tech beauty clinic. “I really want to empower my patients,” Giles says. “It’s important that they participate in the process, because then they’ll be more motivated to continue taking care of themselves outside of my office and show up for treatments. We’re really doing the honest work of fixing skin.”
Don’t mistake FIX Malibu for a spa. Giles uses leading-edge technology to help determine each patient’s individual skincare needs, tailoring each experience on carefully monitored progress from treatment to treatment.
But she’s not just fixing skin – she’s changing how you look at visiting your dermatologist. Giles was driven to make FIX Malibu a stunningly serene environment as she is in treating her clients. And she has created an oasis unlike any other to enforce a strictly non-clinical feel.
Slip into your custom caftan – co-designed with Nicole Dinelli of Ron Herman – and slip out into the waiting area, where you’re greeted by oversized Venetian mirrors and stunning Italian chandeliers blended with a crisp white-on-white palate. Once you cap your treatment with a sip of lemonade on the private terrace overlooking Malibu shores, you’ll never want to travel to Beverly Hills again – which is precisely why Giles chose Malibu for FIX’s home. “It didn’t make sense to me that we didn’t have state-of-the-art cosmetic dermatology offices here, so that’s why I chose to open one,” she notes. “Malibu is accomplished, and so are our residents.”
And Giles wants her clients to learn a lot about beauty.
“Ultimately my goal is to give everyone a deeper appreciation of their own beauty” says Giles, “because we really do have the power to be beautiful. And beauty can change the world. I’m not an ambassador or saving refugees, but I’m doing my part to make my corner of the world more peaceful and beautiful."
